SABRES ACQUIRE DRAFT PICK FROM STARS

BUFFALO, N.Y. (November 10, 2018) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has acquired a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft from the Dallas Stars in exchange for defenseman Taylor Fedun.

Fedun appeared in 34 games for the Sabres during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons, recording eight assists and 18 penalty minutes.

SABRES RECALL FEDUN FROM AMERKS

BUFFALO, N.Y. (October 31, 2017) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled defenseman Taylor Fedun from the Rochester Americans (AHL).

Fedun (6’1”, 201 lbs., 6/4/1988) joins the Sabres for his second recall after posting one assist and a plus-1 rating in two games during earlier this season. He appeared in 27 NHL games during the 2016-17 campaign, recording a career-high seven points (0+7). He also led Sabres defensemen in assists per 60 (1.16) and his 5-on-5 shot attempts percentage (53.7%) ranked 23rd among all NHL defensemen with more than five games played in 2016-17.

A native of Edmonton, Alberta, Fedun has two assists in four games with the Americans this season after signing a two-year contract extension with the Sabres in June. In 296 regular-season games throughout his six AHL seasons, he has recorded 157 points (37+120) and a plus-19 rating, adding eight points (4+4) in 28 playoff games.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (October 20, 2017) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled defenseman Taylor Fedun from the Rochester Americans (AHL).

Fedun (6’1”, 201 lbs., 6/4/1988) has one assist in three games with the Americans this season after signing a two-year contract extension with the Sabres in June. He appeared in 27 NHL games during the 2016-17 season, recording a career-high seven points (0+7). He also led Sabres defensemen in assists per 60 (1.16) and his 5-on-5 shot attempts percentage (53.7%) ranked 23rd among all NHL defensemen with more than five games played in 2016-17.

Through parts of four NHL seasons, Fedun has totaled 14 points (2+12) and a plus-3 rating. In 295 regular-season games throughout his six AHL seasons, he has recorded 156 points (37+119) and a plus-20 rating, adding eight points (4+4) in 28 playoff games.

In a corresponding move, the Sabres have placed forward Jacob Josefson on injured reserve.

SABRES TRIM TRAINING CAMP ROSTER BY FOUR

BUFFALO, N.Y. (September 30, 2017) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has assigned forward Justin Bailey to the Rochester Americans (AHL). The Sabres have also assigned forward Nicolas Deslauriers and defenseman Taylor Fedun to Rochester, pending waivers.

The team also announced that defenseman Cody Goloubef has been released from his professional tryout.

The Sabres now have 27 players (16 forwards, nine defensemen and two goaltenders) on their training camp roster.
