SABRES RECALL FEDUN

BUFFALO, N.Y. (March 16, 2017) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled defenseman Taylor Fedun from the Rochester Americans (AHL).

Fedun (6’1”, 198 lbs., 6/4/1988) has been recalled for the third time this season after recording seven assists and 16 penalty minutes for the team in a career-high 25 games this season.

The Edmonton, Alberta native returns to Buffalo’s roster after a nine-game stint in Rochester in which he recorded six points (1+5). With 23 points (5+18) in 29 AHL games during the 2016-17 season, Fedun has tallied more goals and assists for the Amerks than any other defenseman.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (January 3, 2017) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled defenseman Taylor Fedun from the Rochester Americans (AHL).

Fedun (6’1”, 198 lbs., 6/4/1988) re-joins the Sabres after posting four assists and a plus-1 rating during an eight-game stint with the team from Nov. 17 to Dec. 3, 2016.

In 20 AHL games this season, the Edmonton, Alberta native leads all Rochester defensemen in goals (4), assists (13) and points (17). His .85 points per game rank him ninth among qualifying AHL defensemen in 2016-17.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (November 17, 2016) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled defenseman Taylor Fedun from the Rochester Americans (AHL).

Fedun (6’1”, 198 lbs., 6/4/1998) has appeared in 14 games with the Amerks this season, tying for second among AHL defensemen in assists (10) and tying for fourth in points (12). His point total, sparked by a four-point (1+3) output against the Hartford Wolf Pack on Nov. 11 that tied his career high, ranks him third among all Rochester skaters in 2016-17.

Prior to being signed by the Sabres on July 1, 2016, Fedun had tallied more than 30 points in each of his last three AHL seasons. The Edmonton, Alberta native has tallied seven points (2+5) in 12 NHL games during the last three seasons as a member of the Vancouver Canucks, San Jose Sharks and Edmonton Oilers.
