BUFFALO, N.Y. (December 30, 2018) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has assigned goaltender Scott Wedgewood to the Rochester Americans (AHL).

SABRES RECALL WEDGEWOOD

BUFFALO, N.Y. (December 29, 2018) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled goaltender Scott Wedgewood from the Rochester Americans (AHL).

Wedgewood (6’2”, 195 lbs., 8/14/1992) joins the Sabres for his second recall of the season after serving as the team’s backup goaltender on Dec. 8 vs. Philadelphia. The Brampton, Ontario native is 11-6-1 in 20 AHL games this season with a 2.78 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage.

Since being selected in the third round (84th overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft by the New Jersey Devils, Wedgewood has appeared in 24 career NHL games with the Devils and the Arizona Coyotes, posting a 7-10-5 record with a .903 save percentage.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (December 7, 2018) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled defenseman Matt Tennyson and goaltender Scott Wedgewood from the Rochester Americans (AHL).

Tennyson (6’2”, 205 lbs., 4/23/1990) joins the Sabres for the third time this season but has yet to appear in any NHL games. The Minneapolis, Minnesota native has recorded three points (1+2) in eight games with the Americans this season. In his career, Tennyson has totaled 20 points (3+17) in 120 NHL games with Buffalo, the Carolina Hurricanes and the San Jose Sharks.

In his first season with the organization, Wedgewood (6’2”, 195 lbs., 8/14/1992) is 8-4-1 in 14 AHL games with a 2.91 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage. In 24 career NHL games with the Arizona Coyotes and New Jersey Devils, the Brampton, Ontario native has compiled a 7-10-5 record with a .903 save percentage.

SABRES AGREE TO TERMS WITH GOALTENDER WEDGEWOOD

BUFFALO, N.Y. (July 1, 2018) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has agreed to terms with goaltender Scott Wedgewood on a one-year, two-way contract.

Wedgewood (6’2”, 195 lbs., 8/14/1992) appeared in a career-high 20 NHL games with the Arizona Coyotes last season, posting a 5-9-4 record. He finished the season with a 7-10-5 record and .903 save percentage through 24 career games with the Coyotes and New Jersey Devils.

In his sixth professional season in 2017-18, Wedgewood also logged a 3-1-1 record and a .915 save percentage in seven AHL games. The Brampton, Ontario native has amassed a 53-37-18 record in 116 AHL contests, including a 22-7-6 mark with a .924 save percentage in the last three seasons.
