SABRES SIGN SHEAHAN TO 1-YEAR CONTRACT

The Sabres have signed forward Riley Sheahan to a one-year contract worth $700,000.


Highlights:

  • Signed a professional tryout contract with the Sabres on Dec. 29, 2020 to join the team for the beginning of training camp.
  • Has 164 points (66+98) in 513 career NHL games for the Edmonton Oilers, Florida Panthers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Detroit Red Wings.
  • Established career-high totals in assists (23) and points (36) in 79 games for Detroit during the 2014-15 season.
  • Won a Calder Cup in 2013 for the Grand Rapids Griffins and led all AHL rookies with 13 assists in the playoffs.
