SABRES, ELIE AGREE TO ONE-YEAR CONTRACT

BUFFALO, N.Y. (August 1, 2019) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has agreed to terms with forward Remi Elie on a one-year, two-way contract with an average annual value of $700,000.

Elie (6’1”, 215 lbs., 4/16/1995) appeared in 16 games with the Sabres in 2018-19 after the team claimed him off waivers from the Dallas Stars in October. He also played 25 regular-season AHL games and three playoff games with the Rochester Americans, totaling 14 points (8+6) in those contests.

Selected by Dallas in the second round (40th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft, Elie has recorded 22 points (7+15) in 106 games through three NHL seasons. The Cornwall, Ontario native has also recorded 60 points (24+36) in 146 regular-season AHL contests, adding nine points (2+7) in 26 AHL playoff games.

SABRES QUALIFY SEVEN RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS

BUFFALO, N.Y. (June 25, 2019) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has tendered a qualifying offer to the following restricted free agents:

Forwards Remi Elie, Zemgus Girgensons, Johan Larsson, Evan Rodrigues, C.J. Smith; defenseman Jake McCabe; goaltender Linus Ullmark.

SABRES ASSIGN ELIE TO ROCHESTER

BUFFALO, N.Y. (February 3, 2019) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has assigned forward Remi Elie to the Rochester Americans (AHL).

SABRES CLAIM ELIE OFF WAIVERS

BUFFALO, N.Y. (October 2, 2018) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has claimed forward Remi Elie off waivers from the Dallas Stars.

Elie (6’1”, 215 lbs., 4/16/1995) was drafted by the Stars in the second round (40th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft and has combined to record 21 points (7+14) in 90 NHL games during the last two seasons. He has also recorded 46 points (16+30) in 121 career AHL contests and added nine points (2+7) in 19 AHL playoff games last season.

The Green Valley, Ontario native was a member of the OHL-Champion London Knights in 2013. In 195 career OHL games for the Knights, Belleville Bulls and Erie Otters, Elie combined to notch 161 points (66+95) and added 32 points (8+24) in 41 OHL playoff games.
