SABRES RECALL GRIGORENKO FROM ROCHESTER

BUFFALO, N.Y. (March 5, 2015) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled forward Mikhail Grigorenko from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Grigorenko (5/16/94, 6’3″, 211 lbs) joins the Sabres for the fifth time this season, having recorded a goal and an assist in 12 NHL games so far this season. In Rochester, Grigorenko has appeared in 39 games in 2014-15 and has tallied 32 points (11+21). In 55 NHL games played with the Sabres through parts of three seasons, he has registered 10 points (4+6).

Drafted by the Sabres in the first round (12th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft, Grigorenko signed an entry-level contract with the club in July 2012.

SABRES RECALL THREE FORWARDS FROM ROCHESTER

BUFFALO, N.Y. (March 3, 2015) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled forwards Mikhail Grigorenko, Tim Schaller and Jerry D’Amigo from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Grigorenko (5/16/94, 6’3″, 211 lbs) joins the Sabres for the fourth time this season, having recorded a goal and an assist in 12 NHL games so far this season. In Rochester, Grigorenko has appeared in 38 games in 2014-15 and has tallied 31 points (10+21). In 55 NHL games played with the Sabres through parts of three seasons, he has registered 10 points (4+6). Drafted by the Sabres in the first round (12th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft, Grigorenko signed an entry-level contract with the club in July 2012.

Schaller (6’2”, 206 lbs., 11/16/90) will be joining the team for the third time this season after making his NHL debut on Nov. 29 in Montreal. He leads the Amerks with 15 goals and ranks second on the club with 40 points (15+25) in 55 games. Originally signed by the Sabres as a free agent on April 2, 2013, the Merrimack, N.H. native has played six games with the Sabres this season, scoring his first NHL goal on Dec. 21 at Boston.

D’Amigo (5’11”, 205 lbs., 2/19/91) is joining the Sabres for his first recall of the 2014-15 season after the team acquired him from Columbus on Dec. 16, 2014. He has 26 points (9+17) in 59 AHL games this season, including 19 (6+13) in 31 games since joining the Amerks. The Binghamton, N.Y. native played in 22 NHL games during the 2013-14 season as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs, recording one goal and two assists.

SABRES RECALL GRIGORENKO FROM ROCHESTER

BUFFALO, N.Y. (December 27, 2014) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled forward Mikhail Grigorenko from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Grigorenko (5/16/94, 6’3″, 211 lbs) joins the Sabres for the third time this season, playing in four games and recording an assist in the team’s game against Detroit on Dec. 23. With the Amerks, Grigorenko has appeared in 30 games in 2014-15 and has tallied the team’s third-highest point total with 22 points (7+15). In 47 NHL games played with the Sabres through parts of two seasons, he has registered nine points (3+6).

Drafted by the Sabres in the first round (12th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft, Grigorenko signed an entry-level contract with the club in July 2012. The Khabarovsk, Russia native has also played parts of three seasons (2011-12 – 2013-14) for the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL.
