BUFFALO, N.Y. (November 7, 2017) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled defenseman Zach Redmond from the Rochester Americans (AHL).
Redmond (6’2”, 212 lbs., 7/26/1988) joins the Sabres for the second time this season after appearing in two games for the team following a recall on Oct. 21. With five points (1+4) through seven AHL games in 2017-18, the defenseman ranks fourth among all Rochester skaters with .71 points per game.
Selected by the Atlanta Thrashers in the seventh round (184th overall) of the 2008 NHL Draft, Redmond has now appeared in parts of six NHL seasons, totaling 38 points (9+29) and a plus-10 rating in 132 games with the Sabres, the Montreal Canadiens, the Colorado Avalanche and the Winnipeg Jets. The Traverse City, Michigan native has recorded 105 points (30+75) in 197 career regular-season AHL games, adding 19 points (4+15) in 35 AHL postseason contests.
In a corresponding move, the Sabres have placed forward Justin Bailey on injured reserve.
- Justin Bailey’s second goal of the season was the fourth of his career and his first to be scored in his hometown of Buffalo.
- With an assist tonight, Ryan O’Reilly now has four points (2+2) in his last three games, including at least a point in all three games.
- Kyle Okposo appeared in his 600th NHL game tonight. His assist on Buffalo’s first goal, gave him 10 points (1+9) in 10 career games against the Canucks.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (October 15, 2017) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled forward Justin Bailey from the Rochester Americans (AHL).
Bailey (6’4”, 214 lbs., 7/1/1995) currently leads the Amerks with two goals and is tied for the team lead with a plus-2 rating through three games in 2017-18. Last season, the Williamsville, New York native ranked third among Rochester skaters with 23 goals and finished the campaign with 36 points (23+13) in 52 AHL contests.
Buffalo’s second-round pick (52nd overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft, Bailey has registered four points (2+2) in 40 career NHL games for the Sabres during the last two seasons.
In a corresponding move, the Sabres have placed defenseman Zach Bogosian on injured reserve.
BUFFALO, N.Y. (September 30, 2017) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has assigned forward Justin Bailey to the Rochester Americans (AHL). The Sabres have also assigned forward Nicolas Deslauriers and defenseman Taylor Fedun to Rochester, pending waivers.
The team also announced that defenseman Cody Goloubef has been released from his professional tryout.
The Sabres now have 27 players (16 forwards, nine defensemen and two goaltenders) on their training camp roster.
