SABRES ACQUIRE 6TH-ROUND PICK FROM COLORADO

The Sabres have acquired a sixth-round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for goaltender Jonas Johansson.

SABRES SIGN JOHANSSON TO ONE-YEAR CONTRACT

The Buffalo Sabres have signed goaltender Jonas Johansson to a one-year contract with an AAV of $700,000.


Highlights:

  • Played a career-high 22 games for the Rochester Americans in his fourth AHL season in 2019-20. Ranked sixth in the AHL in goals-against average and seventh in save percentage.
  • Represented Rochester at the 2020 AHL All-Star Classic in Ontario, California.
  • Made his NHL debut on Feb. 4, 2020 vs. Colorado and earned his first career win on Feb. 23, 2020 vs. Winnipeg.
