SABRES ASSIGN O’REGAN TO ROCHESTER

BUFFALO, N.Y. (February 27, 2019) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has assigned forward Danny O’Regan to the Rochester Americans (AHL).

SABRES RECALL O’REGAN

BUFFALO, N.Y. (February 26, 2019) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled forward Danny O’Regan from the Rochester Americans (AHL).

O’Regan (5’10”, 180 lbs., 1/30/1994) re-joins the Sabres for his second recall of 2018-19. The Berlin, Germany native has recorded 34 points (18+16) in 53 games with Rochester this season. He has also appeared in one game for the Sabres this season, logging 11:56 of ice time on Feb. 23 against the Washington Capitals.

A fifth-round pick (138th overall) in the 2012 NHL Draft, O’Regan has totaled five points (1+4) in 25 career NHL games and 132 points (54+78) in 165 AHL games during his three professional seasons. He was acquired by the Sabres from the San Jose Sharks in February of 2018.

SABRES RECALL O’REGAN, WILSON

BUFFALO, N.Y. (February 22, 2019) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled forwards Danny O’Regan and Scott Wilson from the Rochester Americans (AHL).

O’Regan (5’10”, 180 lbs., 1/30/1994) joins the Sabres for his first recall of the season after recording 34 points (18+16) in 53 games with Rochester this season. In three professional seasons, O’Regan has totaled 132 points (54+78) in 165 AHL games.

A native of Berlin, Germany, O’Regan appeared in two games for the Sabres in 2017-18 after being acquired from the San Jose Sharks in February of 2018. He has totaled five points (1+4) in 24 career NHL games since being selected by the Sharks in the fifth round (138th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft.

After being acquired by the Sabres in December of 2017, Wilson (5’11”, 186 lbs., 4/24/1992) recorded 14 points (6+8) in 49 games for the Sabres in 2017-18. He has posted seven points (3+4) in 17 games with Rochester this season following an ankle injury that sidelined him for the first three months of the season.

A seventh-round pick (208th overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft, Wilson has appeared in 172 NHL games with the Sabres, Detroit Red Wings and Pittsburgh Penguins, registering 46 points (19+27).

In corresponding moves, forward Kyle Okposo has been placed on injured reserve and defenseman Lawrence Pilut has been assigned to Rochester.

O’REGAN, BAPTISTE SIGN ONE-YEAR DEALS

BUFFALO, N.Y. (July 15, 2018) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has signed forwards Daniel O’Regan and Nicholas Baptiste to one-year, two-way contracts with average annual values of $874,125 and $787,500, respectively, at the NHL level.

Acquired by Buffalo in February 2018, O’Regan (5’10”, 185 lbs., 1/30/1994) recorded four assists in a career-high 21 NHL games spent with the Sabres and San Jose Sharks in his second professional season in 2017-18. The Berlin, Germany native made his professional debut in 2016-17, leading the San Jose Barracudas and all AHL rookies with 58 points (23+35) in 63 games to earn the Red Garrett Award as the AHL rookie of the year.

San Jose’s fifth-round selection (138th overall) in the 2012 NHL Draft, O’Regan has totaled five points (1+4) in 24 NHL games and 98 points (36+62) in 112 career AHL games. Prior to beginning his professional career, O’Regan played four seasons at Boston University, totaling 154 points (66+88) in 154 games.

Baptiste (6’1”, 205 lbs., 8/4/1995) appeared in a career-high 33 NHL games with the Sabres during the 2017-18 season, posting six points (4+2) and 45 shots on goal. A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Baptiste has recorded 10 points (7+3) in 47 career NHL games. He has added 87 points (45+42) in 159 games through three AHL seasons since being selected by the Sabres in the third round (69th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft.

SABRES QUALIFY SIX RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS

BUFFALO, N.Y. (June 25, 2018) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has tendered a qualifying offer to forwards Justin Bailey, Nick Baptiste, Sean Malone, Danny O’Regan, Sam Reinhart and C.J. Smith.
