SABRES ASSIGN 10 TO ROCHESTER

BUFFALO, N.Y. (September 23, 2017) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has assigned forwards Eric Cornel, Vaclav Karabacek, Stevie Moses and Kevin Porter, defensemen Brycen Martin, Casey Nelson and Devante Stephens, and goaltenders Jason Kasdorf, Jonas Johansson and Adam Wilcox, to the Rochester Americans (AHL).

The Sabres now have 36 players (21 forwards, 12 defensemen and three goaltenders) on their training camp roster.

SABRES TRIM CAMP ROSTER TO 33

BUFFALO, N.Y. (October 1, 2016) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has released 17 players from its training camp roster.

12 players have been loaned to the Rochester Americans (AHL): Forwards Justin Bailey, William Carrier, Daniel Catenacci (pending waivers), Eric Cornel, Jean Dupuy, Vaclav Karabacek, Justin Kea, Evan Rodrigues and Cole Schneider (pending waivers); defensemen Brady Austin and Brycen Martin; goaltender Jason Kasdorf.

Five players have been released from their tryouts and will report to Rochester for training camp: Forwards Matthew Lane and Daniel Muzito-Bagenda; defenseman Mac Bennett and Paul Geiger; goaltender John Muse.

The Sabres now have 33 players (18 forwards, 12 defensemen and three goaltenders) on their training camp roster.

SABRES INK MARTIN TO ENTRY-LEVEL CONTRACT

BUFFALO, N.Y. (May 21, 2016) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has signed defenseman Brycen Martin to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Martin (6’2”, 199 lbs., 5/9/1996) tied his career-high totals in goals (6), assists (31) and points (37) in 66 games for the Saskatoon Blades and Everett Silvertips (WHL) during the 2015-16 season. The Calgary, Alberta native finished fifth among Silvertips skaters and paced all Everett defenseman in assists and points during the campaign.

In 277 career WHL games, Martin tallied 131 points (21+110) and 154 penalty minutes. Buffalo’s third-round pick (74th overall) in the 2014 NHL Draft, Martin also chipped in four points (1+3) and eight penalty minutes in 15 career WHL playoff games.

SABRES RETURN FOUR TO JUNIOR CLUBS

BUFFALO, N.Y. (September 23, 2015) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has returned four players to their respective junior clubs: Forwards Giorgio Estephan (Lethbridge, WHL) and Vaclav Karabacek (Baie-Comeau, QMJHL); defensemen Brycen Martin (Saskatoon, WHL) and Devante Stephens (Kelowna, WHL).

The Sabres now have 56 players (32 forwards, 17 defensemen and seven goaltenders) on their training camp roster.
