BUFFALO, N.Y. (November 23, 2013) — Buffalo Sabres president of hockey operations Pat LaFontaine today announced the team has recalled defenseman Alexander Sulzer from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Sulzer (5/30/84, 6’1″, 205 lbs) re-joins the Sabres for his second call-up of the season. He was last recalled on Oct. 5 for a one-game stint in Buffalo. While with the Amerks this season, Sulzer has appeared in 10 games and notched seven points (2+5). Sulzer has totaled 12 points (6+6) and 16 penalty minutes in 33 games with the Sabres since the team acquired him from the Vancouver Canucks at the 2012 trade deadline. In 107 NHL games with Buffalo, Vancouver, Florida, and Nashville, Sulzer has amassed 20 points (7+13) and 36 penalty minutes.
