SABRES ASSIGN THREE TO ROCHESTER

BUFFALO, N.Y. (April 10, 2017) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has assigned forwards Alexander Nylander and Evan Rodrigues, and goaltender Linus Ullmark to the Rochester Americans (AHL).

SABRES RECALL FORWARD NYLANDER

BUFFALO, N.Y. (April 3, 2017) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled forward Alexander Nylander from the Rochester Americans (AHL).

Nylander (6’1”, 180 lbs., 3/2/1998) was drafted by the Sabres with the eighth overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft and joins the team for the first time this season. In 62 games for the Amerks this season, the Calgary, Alberta native leads all Rochester rookies with nine goals and 18 assists.

Earlier this season, Nylander represented Sweden at the World Junior Championship, where he was named to the tournament All-Star Team after tying for the tournament lead with 12 points (5+7) in seven games.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (January 7, 2017) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the organization has assigned forward Alexander Nylander to the Rochester Americans (AHL). In seven games for Team Sweden at the 2017 IIHF World Junior Tournament, Nylander tied for the tournament lead with 12 points (5+7).

SABRES ASSIGN NYLANDER TO TEAM SWEDEN

BUFFALO, N.Y. (December 20, 2016) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the organization has assigned forward Alexander Nylander to the Swedish men’s national junior ice hockey team for the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship. The tournament will be held in Toronto and Montreal from Dec. 26 to Jan. 5.

Nylander (6’1”, 180 lbs., 3/2/1998) has totaled 17 points (5+12) in 29 games as a rookie for the Rochester Americans (AHL) during the 2016-17 season. The Sabres’ first-round pick (8th overall) at the 2016 NHL Draft, Nylander led Team Sweden in goals (4) and points (9) at the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship.

SABRES REDUCE ROSTER TO 23

BUFFALO, N.Y. (October 11, 2016) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has released five players from its roster.

The following four players have been loaned to the Rochester Americans (AHL): Forwards Nicholas Baptiste, Daniel Catenacci and Alexander Nylander; defenseman Justin Falk.

Defenseman Brendan Guhle has been returned to the Prince Albert Raiders (WHL).

The Sabres now have 23 players (14 forwards, 7 defensemen and two goaltenders) on their roster.
