Game-Day Procedures
The media entrance will be open 90 minutes prior to the opening faceoff and will close 15 minutes after puck drop. All media members must exit the building no later than 90 minutes after the conclusion of the game.

Please check your temperature before leaving for the arena. If your temperature is at or above 100.4°F, do not come to the arena.

Before entering KeyBank Center, you will be required to complete a questionnaire. This questionnaire must be completed on each day that you enter the arena and can be completed from a computer or mobile device.

You may enter KeyBank Center via the new media entrance off South Park Ave. The door is located roughly halfway between the KeyBank Center parking ramp and the stop sign where South Park curves toward LECOM Harborcenter. Upon entry to KeyBank Center, all visitors must submit to a temperature check and present photo ID.

Once inside the arena, photographers will proceed directly to their assigned shooting location. Other media members and scouts will proceed directly to the press box by using press box elevator. For games with fans in the building, anybody who works in the press box will not be allowed to enter any areas of the arena that fans have access to.

For games with fans, photographers will need to receive a negative PCR COVID-19 test result from a test taken within 72 hours of the game. Photographers are responsible for scheduling their own test at their expense. To help with testing, the Sabres will provide a link for photographers to set up a test at Quest Diagnostics. The cost of the test through Quest is $64.

You will be required to wear a mask at all times when you are inside KeyBank Center. Please observe the following guidelines from the NHL regarding acceptable face coverings:

  • Face coverings shall completely cover the mouth and nose, fit snugly against the sides of the face, and shall be secured under the chin.
  • Acceptable face coverings include medical grade masks or 3-layer cloth coverings (or at least two cloth layers with a filter).
  • Gaiters and bandanas are not permitted to function as face coverings.
  • Use of a face shield does not eliminate the requirement to wear a face covering underneath.
  • Face coverings with exhalation valves or vents are prohibited.

After games, media and scouts are welcome to leave KeyBank Center either through the media entrance on to South Park Ave. or by using the LECOM Harborcenter bridge from the 100 level of the building.
