Entering KeyBank Center
Credentialed media can enter the arena through the security entrance, located at the plaza area on the east (Illinois Street) side of the building, aligned with the middle of the parking ramp. Credentials can be picked up at the credential table (located past security) two and a half hours before games or at security before the morning skate.
Directions to Press Box
All media should use the freight elevator, located beyond the credential table, when moving between the Event Level (ground floor, “ER”) and the Press Level (“P”). Seating charts are posted throughout the press box to assist in finding designated seating areas.
Wireless internet access is available for all visiting media. To access the “Sabres Media” network, please use the password posted throughout the press box.
The media dining room is located directly across from the credential table on the Event Level. The cost of game day meals is $11. Snacks and beverages will also be provided in the press box. The dining room opens two hours before the start of the game.
Player availability will begin no later than 10 minutes after the conclusion of each game, in the Sabres locker room. The Sabres’ head coach will be available in the press conference room (on the left just before entering the locker room hallway) following player interviews.
Media Work Areas
The media is welcome to work after the game in the press conference room, the media dining room or in the press box. Final stats will be available in the media dining room and the press box. Please note that the media dining room is not available as a work space on the morning of a game day.
*Please note that smoking is prohibited not only in both the press lounge/work room and the press box, but also in the whole arena (under NY State law).
*There are electrical outlets, ethernet jacks and phone jacks at all seats in the press box, but phone lines are not active unless arrangements are made by calling Mike Queeno at (716)855-4485.
Practice Sessions/Game-Day Skates
Practice sessions and morning skates on game days are open to the media. The Sabres’ head coach and Sabres players are available to the media following the sessions. Media attending these practices should contact Chris Bandura to verify times and specific player interview needs. Practices that cannot be held at KeyBank Center will take place at HarborCenter. Practice times for the current month can be found here.
