The Sabres have signed goaltender Michael Houser to a one-year contract worth $700,000.
- Helped backstop Cincinnati to the second-lowest goals against number in the ECHL’s Western Conference in 2019-20, leading the Cyclones in games played (26), wins (16) and saves (545).
- Was named the ECHL Goaltender of the Year in 2018-19, ranking among the league’s leaders in wins (T-1st, 29), save percentage (4th, .922) and goals-against average (2nd, 2.13).
- Named the OHL’s Most Outstanding Player in 2011-12 and won an OHL Championship with the London Knights that season.
After further evaluation, it was discovered that Sabres defenseman William Borgen suffered a fracture in his right forearm during the team’s game on Feb. 20 in New Jersey.
Borgen underwent successful surgery to repair the fracture today and is expected to miss approximately six to eight weeks.
Sabres defenseman Jake McCabe was diagnosed today with injuries in his right knee to his ACL, MCL and meniscus as the result of a play during the team’s game on Feb. 20 in New Jersey.
The expected recovery time for his injuries is approximately six to eight months.
