BUFFALO, N.Y. (October 23, 2016) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled forward Hudson Fasching and defenseman Casey Nelson from the Rochester Americans (AHL).

Both players join the team after being assigned to Rochester on Oct. 21. In two games for the Amerks, Fasching (6’2”, 209 lbs., 7/58/1995) recorded one goal and a plus-1 rating. The Milwaukee, Wisconsin native has two points (1+1) in nine career NHL games for the Sabres.

Nelson (6’1”, 190 lbs., 7/18/1992) also recorded one goal and six shots in two games for Rochester. In his eight career NHL games with Buffalo, Nelson has four assists and eight penalty minutes.
