BUFFALO, N.Y. (December 20, 2014) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled forward Johan Larsson from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Larsson (7/25/92, 5’11”, 206 lbs) joins the Sabres for the second time this season after being recalled for a four-game stint in early November. He currently leads the Amerks with eight goals and owns the second-highest point total, 23 (8+15), through 26 games played. In 33 NHL games played with the Sabres and Minnesota Wild through parts of three seasons, he has recorded four assists.
Acquired by the Sabres in trade with the Wild at the 2013 Trade Deadline, Larsson was drafted by Minnesota in the second round (56th overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft.
