SABRES TO CELEBRATE VETERANS DAY WITH AUTHENTIC CAMOUFLAGE JERSEY AUCTION

BUFFALO, N.Y. (November 11, 2013) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced that the club will host an authentic camouflage jersey auction in honor of Veterans Day beginning Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Sabres players will be wearing camouflage jerseys during pregame warm-ups prior to the Nov. 12 home game against the Los Angeles Kings.  The jerseys will then be put up for auction on the NHL.com auction site immediately following the game at 10 p.m.  All proceeds from the auction, which runs through Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 9 p.m., will benefit the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.

The Buffalo Sabres Foundation is a New York State not for profit corporation that is committed to stimulating, supporting and encouraging organizations that serve Western New York which are committed to youth hockey initiatives; the health, wellness and education of underprivileged /disadvantaged youth and military personnel; and physically and mentally challenged athlete, by providing financial generosity and other platforms for their endeavors. Through such support these organizations will realize their highest potential, thereby allowing their members to gain the confidence and integrity necessary to succeed in life.
