The game ended with a 15-round shootout, topping the longest shootout in Sabres history and tying the longest NHL regular-season shootout.
The Sabres are 141-147-50 all-time in the preseason. Buffalo is 28-11-4 in preseason action since the 2005-06 season. These totals only include NHL games; the Sabres also defeated Adler Mannheim, 8-3, as part of the 2011 NHL Premiere Series in Germany.
Buffalo’s next game will take place on Wednesday (7 p.m.), as the Blue Jackets visit First Niagara Center for a rematch after dropping Tuesday’s matchup in Columbus.
