*Buffalo has points in five straight home games (3-0-2) entering tonight’s game. They’ll look to extend the streak to six for the first time since going went 7-0-1 in eight home games from Feb. 19 to March 24, 2012.

*The Sabres have had 14 of their last 16 games decided by one goal. Buffalo is 6-3-5 in those 14 games and 9-8-6 in their 23 one-goal games this season.

*The Sabres are 7-5-2 this season against the Northeast division. Buffalo has finished at or above .500 against their division every year since going 8-10-6 against Northeast opponents in 1994-95.

*With tonight’s start, Ryan Miller will tie Dominik Hasek’s franchise record 491 games played for the Sabres.

*Tyler Myers leads all Sabres skaters with a TOI of 8:54. Myers led all Sabres with a TOI of 28:13 last night vs. WSH. It was the fourth-highest TOI of his career and his highest since Jan. 14, 2012 at NYI (31:05).

*Buffalo is 8-6-3 when tied after the first period; Boston is 10-3-0 when tied after one.

*The Sabres will enter the third period in a scoreless tie for the second time this season. Last time: Jan. 25 vs. CAR (3-1 loss).

*Buffalo is 6-3-0 when tied after the second period; Boston is 9-1-0 when tied after two.

*The Sabres are 9-4-4 when scoring first and 4-12-2 when allowing the first goal; the Bruins are 13-2-1 when scoring first and 8-6-3 when allowing the first goal.

*Steve Ott went 14-for-23 at the faceoff circle tonight (61%), improving his season faceoff percentage to 56.2 percent, which will rank him in the top 10 in the NHL after tonight’s games.

*Christian Ehrhoff led all Sabres skaters with a TOI of 25:46.
